Mark DiSalle
Chairman and Founder

Mark DiSalle began his career as a public accountant, eventually leaving the profession to form DiSalle, Rosenblatt & Co., a consulting firm engaged in mergers, acquisitions, and investment matters within the entertainment arena. From there, he was tapped to serve as the president of Concert Corporation of America, and was instrumental in producing live entertainment shows in California, New York, Arizona, Oklahoma, and Iowa featuring such entertainers as Bill Cosby, Stevie Wonder, and Rod Stewart.

In 1985, Mark moved to Los Angeles and began producing feature films for motion-picture industry giants Paramount, MGM, and Cannon, handling budgets totaling $25 million that returned more than $500 million in revenue. While in Los Angeles, he produced and/or directed and produced five films, which launched the careers of Jean-Claude VanDamme and Jeff Speakman.

In 1994, he moved to Seattle and has been involved in the formation, development, and financing of a number of business ventures. In November 2002, Mark founded BioNet Systems which purchased the assets of Net Nanny Software International, Inc., including the BioPassword technology. In April 2004, he sold the Company's Net Nanny division to LookSmart, focusing on the growth and development of the BioPassword technology.

John Connors
Director

John Connors is a partner at Ignition Partners, LLC. He invests principally in enterprise and business software. Prior to joining Ignition, John spent sixteen years at Microsoft Corporation in several strategic roles. He served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer. In this role John was responsible for managing the global finance function as well as corporate services, procurement, real estate and the company's Global Operations & Technology Group.

John also held a variety of positions including Vice President of the Worldwide Enterprise Group, where he was responsible for the sales, services and relationship strategy for large, medium-sized and small businesses, Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Corporate Controller, General Manager of Worldwide Financial Operations, Director of Business Operations of Microsoft's European headquarters in Paris, and Director of Business Operations of the Worldwide Sales and Support Strategy Group. Prior to joining Microsoft, John held management or staff positions at PIP Printing Inc., SAFECO Corp. and Deloitte, Haskins and Sells.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Montana. He also received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Montana.

 
 
Lucinda Stewart
Director

Lucinda Stewart is a general partner at OVP, bringing more than 15 years of experience with emerging growth companies. Lucinda has been with OVP since 2001 and has worked actively as a board member or observer on over fifteen companies, providing oversight and guidance to several of the firm's portfolio companies within enterprise software, communications infrastructure and business services.

Previously, Lucinda spent two years at Frazier and Company, a $400 million healthcare focused venture capital firm based in Seattle, where she was an Associate working with healthcare services and information technology companies.

Prior to Frazier, Lucinda was an investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette in New York and prior to business school, she worked in business development for five years with National Surgery Centers, where she was part of the start up team that built the company from 3 to 40 surgery centers, took the company public and eventually sold it to HealthSouth for $590 million, which became the largest independent owner and operator of surgery centers in the country.

Lucinda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Puget Sound and a Masters in Management from Kellogg School of Northwestern University.

 
 
Stuart J. Ellman
Director

Mr. Ellman is a Managing Partner of RRE Ventures. He has been focused on technology since the early 1980's when he taught himself computer programming and sold computer hardware and software.

In 1987, Mr. Ellman worked as a management consultant for McKinsey and Company in Australia. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Ellman was a Financial Analyst at Dillon, Read & Co. where he focused on leveraged buyouts and restructurings. In 1991, Mr. Ellman was an Associate at Morgan Stanley & Co., specializing in fixed income capital markets. After graduating from business school in 1992, Mr. Ellman was a co-founder and Vice President at Advisory Capital Partners, a principal investment and advisory firm. Since co-founding RRE in late 1994, Mr. Ellman has been responsible for over twenty-five technology investments including a number which started at the business plan stage. He currently serves as a Director of BioPassword, Ember Corporation, MessageOne, Proofpoint, Rave Wireless and Storm Risk Solutions.

Mr. Ellman is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia Business School where he has been since 2002, teaching the Venture Capital Seminar to MBA students. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Y, the Makor/Steinhardt Center, the Venture Investors Association of NY, and is a member of the Economic Club of New York.

Mr. Ellman holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard University and a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University where he was a Gilbert Clee Scholar and a Horace White Fellow.

 
 
Mark Upson
President and CEO

Mark Upson brings more than 20 years' experience and success in global technology sales and management to BioPassword. Prior to joining BioPassword, he held the position of President and CEO of PureEdge Solutions where he completed the strategic sale of the company to IBM. Mark spent five years with Onyx Software before joining PureEdge, where he led sales growth from $2M USD to over $119M USD as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Americas.

Over the years, Mark has held senior management positions at Wall Data, a publicly-traded infrastructure software firm that grew during his tenure at more than 100% per year to revenues over $100M USD, and held technical and senior sales management positions with IBM Corporation for 11 years.

Mark holds a Masters of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science with honors in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech.
