AdmitOne Security Awarded Key Patent on its Zero-footprint Identity Assurance Technology Initial Patent the First in a Portfolio of Pending Patents for Cloud Identity Services Seattle, Washington – April 28, 2009 — AdmitOne Security, the leading innovator of identity assurance as a service solutions, today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded the company a new United States Patent (US Patent Number 7,526,412). The patent is generally directed to accuracy and convenience related to online, real-time user authentication in access control, account takeover prevention and account sharing remediation. The patent is the first to be approved from a portfolio of pending patents for identity assurance and analytics.

Keystroke dynamics is generally known as an ability to identify a person based on his or her specific typing signature. The newly issued patent pertains to keystroke dynamics and covers a multi-distant weighted scoring method for comparing a person’s keystroke timings on a series of keys against previous timings on the same series of keys. The patented scoring algorithm provides a high degree of accuracy for distinguishing individuals and their keystroke signatures. The resulting score from the algorithm can be used for online, real-time authentication that is both highly secure and convenient to use.
